Once the western gate into the city, Ludgate is close to St Paul’s Cathedral in London’s oldest area.

New Ludgate Hill is a landmark mixed-use development. Its two distinct buildings are united by a new public ground-level piazzetta bordered on two sides by cafés, restaurants and shops, and by planting and public seating on the street. The paving design subtly moves from the City of London’s signature Yorkstone to a more informal and unexpected dark granite. Perspective views into the development enhance desire routes through the site, with trees providing visual markers.

The development’s fifth floor roof terrace basks in year-long sunlight. Its gently undulating landform wraps around a stone-paved terrace and a sinuous bench offers the perfect spot to enjoy the spectacular views.
